Turkish is the native language of the country. Turkish language, which is an old, well-established and archaic language, is spoken by nearly a hundred millions of people all around the world.

The mandatory Turkish language program that must be received by foreign students who could not speak Turkish, is provided by TÖMER (Turkish Language Teaching Center) whatever the course language of the university or department that the student shall receive education is Turkish, English or any other language. This program continues until June in every year. When competence shall be sufficient, C1 Certificate is given for Turkish Language and the student shall be entitled with the right to start education in the faculty. Make-up examinations for students who could not have competence in Turkish shall be made until September of each year.
